Wow. Have an honor roll HS junior daughter looking at east coast schools this week. She’s a lovely, sensitive person and a great student who is now stressing about where she believes she has fallen short in the oblique admissions process for some selective schools. The timing of this article could not have been better for the sake of perspective. Many of my feelings were articulated beautifully by you and Dianne Tavenner made and I will use this information to educate my daughter and help her manage her feelings of insecurities that are a result of her college application process. It is comforting to know great minds see the problematic admission structure and have creative and inclusive ideas to mold it into something beneficial for *everyone*. Thank you both.

Glad this was helpful! Happy to be a resource for anything else specific as you go through this process as well.
Thank you for being the most “differentiated” thought leader in education. :-)
Ha good one!
